This plenary provides answers to THE question “What on earth is SIMHE?” The general outlines and ideas behind the 2016 pilot projects are presented by Senior Advisor Kaisu Piiroinen (Ministry of Education and Culture). Representatives of both piloting SIMHE projects (University of Jyväskylä and Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences) report their practical experiences and the new starting (2017) Higher Education Institutions responsible will be presented.
