Rhetoric of governments, parliaments and movements
The three classical genres of rhetoric - deliberative, forensic and epideictic - can be also regarded as cores for certain styles of political agency. For each of them a modern paradigm has been formed in the course of the centuries: parliament for the deliberative, courts for the forensic and referenda for the epideictic rhetoric of acclamation. In addition to them, other styles of rhetoric have been developed, especially the rhetoric of negotiation, with both diplomacy and interest groups as its modern paradigm. In the contemporary politics the styles of rhetoric and the fora, institutions and organisations of political action have been mixed in an interesting manner worth a closer attention. Nonetheless, the differences between the rhetorical genres persists in questions how to justify the actions, how to debate about them and how to related the debate to the decisions.
