Viewing videos on mobile devices
System requirements
To watch videos you need internet connection (1 Mbps or faster). To watch high definition videos (Full HD 1080p) you need 4 Mbps or faster internet connection. Before watching the videos it is recommended to make sure you have fixed pricing for your mobile data connection.
Watching videos on mobile device
Moniviestin is compatible with most of the smartphones and tablets (Android, Apple iOS and Windows Phone devices).
Android and iOS devices will show the video embedded to the Moniviestin web page in the same way than desktop computers and laptops. You can maximize the video to the full screen mode if you want. Windows Phone devices will open the video in operating system's own video player application.
If you see error message "No compatible source was found for this video", you should click Android or iPhone/iPad -link on that video page. You can find the link below the video window by clicking "Katselulinkit mobiililaitteille".
Watching live broadcasts on mobile device
It is possible to watch live broadcasts with Android and Apple iOS devices. You can find the streaming links for the mobile devices below the actual video screen: click the link "Katselulinkit mobiililaitteille" and choose your device type (Android or iOS). After clicking the link playback of the live broadcast will start on your device.
Watching Moniviestin-videos on TV screen with Chromecast
Google Chromecast is a small device that is connected to your television. With Chromecast you can play Moniviestin-videos wirelessly from your Android mobile device to TV screen equipped with Chromecast.
Make sure that both Chromecast device and your own mobile device are connected to the same wireless connection (WLAN). When you start video playback on mobile device, you will see gray Chromecast-icon in the upper left corner of the video screen.
Press the Chromecast-icon and choose the name of your Chromecast-device. TV screen will show the title of the Moniviestin video and playback will begin.
You can seek the video by moving the cursor in the orange progress bar. You can also pause the video with "Pause"-button in the lower left corner of the screen.
If mobile device's screen goes black (power saving mode) during the playback, you have to press "Play"-button after waking up the screen to be able to seek video. The power saving mode on your mobile device will not affect the video playback on TV screen.
